At that point, Elektra (and Clive Selwood, who later was to work with Peel and the Dandelion label) weren't even in the picture and wouldn't be until the end of 1968, so I think we can discount that. Maybe it was just that Peel had seen the band live and wasn't as impressed by their studio session. It was fairly unusual of him not to make any comment about the performances.
