Many thanks to Bill and Steve Lowman - as well as all other rippers and those responsible for getting details up on the wiki (only occasionally me, in fact).

As a first step this time, have opened up all the tape pages - including the tracklisting insets (should be very useful for dating shows). Links here:

http://peel.wikia.com/wiki/SL_Tapes_%28tapes%29

The main task now is to ID the shows the tracks are from. Steve TK has already done the first (T040). At least for starters, it would be really helpful if people could add at least the dates of the shows (if you can work them out) on the tape pages. Just click on the "Edit" tab, fill in the date and press "Publish". Don't worry about style or anything.

There are some mix-tapes and non-Peel shows in there, so would be good to have these at least marked as such (don't worry about dates).

On other matters, sounds like Bill's new In Concert reel is the 30 Nov 1971 show (many thanks to Ken's book!). As yet unshared, so would be good to hear that.

Also back to the 70s - thought the new Mike Oldfield doc on TheSpace was quite interesting. Oldfield and Branson stuck to the line that the whole Tubular Bells album was played in full on its release, but the audio seemed to suggest Ken might be right and it was only the first side. At least, the show clip they had only featured Peel's intro/outro for side 1. Be interested to know where the clip was from. Maybe the whole show is out there somewhere.

Many thanks also to Paul for listing up the record collection details for each letter both here and on the wiki.

On Mark's point about running out of records for any of the letters - I'm guessing X might be a bit tricky, although there's a few obvious ones.

Cheers,

SW
