Friday Rock Show with Tommy Vance

Utterly useless, I know, but I heard some well spoken geezer (possibly a Lord or something) talking on Last Words recently, saying he used to have a rock show on Radio 3 - could it be him? If so, there's a clue for you radio sleuths: he died recently, possibly the week before last...?
