Actually the free transport is not just for the foreigners it's for 
everyone. The real reason is to manage traffic congestion and minimise 
the car parking problems. But in terms of green festival credentials its 
probably has more impact than bio-degradable tent pegs. Although if you 
are one of Michael Eavis's cow's and have just stepped on a hidden rusty 
metal tent peg you may disagree.

BTW the free buses run all 4 days until 3am. Now that's a holistic 
national transport policy.
