and thanks from me too, a surprising name check - that must have been the time I was 
finishing off in session tonight's sessionography at home, but I was not at R1 any more - I 
do recall hearing this show because of the PJ Harvey incl the wang dang doodle cover, so 
much so i think i stripped in a late news line into the book!

The date business is a very common problem both inside and out the BBC for shows which 
straddle midnight. You're the DJ or producer (or listener) doing the paperwork after 
midnight while the show is going out, look up at the clock and date on the studio wall, 
write it down on the session sheet or script, it's that easy! Phil Lawton (ex R1 archivist) and 
Hannah Branah Martin (with the help of Jeff at written archives, and listeners with BIG BIG 
BIG databases like Phil, Jon and Martin W of this parish) helped me fix a lot of these 
glitches for both books. The givaway in the show itself is peel talking about the new Fall 
session "on tomorrow's show" so this must have been the friday night edition.
