Dear Colin

Thank you for your response, and I am surprised that nobody has yet
taken up the baton on your behalf, especially since these recordings
fill a gap as vital as those in 'The 400 Box' (at least some idea of
the contents of which would be welcome) and are probably, dare I
suggest, of much better quality and therefore just as deserving
of 'flac', 'flic' or whatever?
Since I live in South Korea, I don't see what I could personally do
at this distance, which is a shame, since I have the equip, emt
necessary for doing a decent digital transfer...if you wanted to go
down the route of sending them to me, I would refund the cost of
postage, of course!!! Ironically, I lived in Plymouth before my move
5 years ago, so we could have been in business.
Seriously, somebody give this man a modicum of help, please.

Best wishes
Steve [Teenage Kicks]

touch them since.

the 90s is perhaps the least well represented, which is a shame for
me since the early to mid 90s were my own Peel halycon days.
Exceptions to this is Phil Edwards' fantastic coverage of 1990 and
1991, and some assorted 1991-2 shows that have cropped up on here in
the last 6 months or so. 1993-98 are pretty much universally barren
save the odd show here and there, before the BBC went online in
1999/2000 and thus recording to MP3 became much easier. Whilst I was
happy to contribute to the recent ebay excitement, I'd have probably
shelled out the 500 myself if the period on offer was 1990-1995!

prompted me to reinvestigate my catalogue of Peel shows, and it
staggers me to reflect on how little of his output seems to be
available. Like the rest of you, I have been downloading all the
files kindly put up by the members here, and Dee Dee's epic torrents.
Yet some years are conspicuous by their absence.Leaving aside the
ubiquitous Festive Fities and the years 1971-4, which Ken has already
told us are not even present aside from a handful of shows at the
BBC, I have nothing from 1976 (barring the Punk Rock Special), only 1
show from 1983, nothing from 1985, 1986, 1988, 1989, one from 1993,
one from 1995, and one from 2000...whereas 2001-4 are extremely well
represented by the Web.Didn't people tape Peel in those years, or
have I missed a flotilla of ships? I'm looking forward to the tapes
as a way of filling in some gaps, but what about these 'lost' years?
Best wishesSteve [Teenage Kicks]...now back in full effect
