Just to be controversial, I probably prefer the later ’sophisticated’ Pastels to their earlier jangly work (which is still good but quite different). Slow Summits, from around 5 years ago, is great - they went a bit almost shoegazey and did some film soundtrack work and worked with the likes of Cornelius and Tortoise. S
