Fairly sure they were a short-lived psych band in 67 - 68 - somewhere online I've seen a gig poster with them as a support act at a London gig that John Peel was also on the bill as DJ.
I reckon they probably only had one or two acetates or promos of their 7", (if it was actually pressed and released in any number we would know about it) and John Peel would be the one person to give it to under those circumstances.
As to the label - maybe they just wrote 'EMI' on it as a joke, the kind of thing an unsigned anti-establishment hippy band might do?
I too would love to know more about it!

Subject: [peel] John Peel's Record Box - Mysterious Record
In John Peel's Record Box there is a record listed at number 27 by Dreamland Express called Groovy / UFO, which was apparently released on EMI in 1980. There is no information about this record on the internet, including the discogs site. Has anyone heard of this record, or remembered Peel playing it. Perhaps this record never existed or it's been mislabelled as something else. Also it surely can't be a demo, when it was apparently released on a major label like EMI. I wonder if anyone could help with this.
