    Interesting to point out that the person who is selling this is from America and not the U.K. He mentioned he got this from somebody so he's not the guy who recorded it. I took the gamble and paid for it, didn't cost an arm and leg, but curiosity got into me. At the moment there has only been one recording of WRR featuring John that was featured for roughly 30 seconds on the 1986 radio documentary called Radio Radio which is available on the Peel wiki site. Curious to know whether the copy he's got is from that. However on the Peel wiki site the one recording is mentioned 1961 but the seller's copy says 1962. Don't know yet whether this is an error or a genuine date.

       I was
 looking through the internet and I've discovered someone
 is selling an unedited 25 minute audio of John
 Ravenscroft's (John Peel for those who don't know)
 on WRR from 1962. I asked the chap who is selling it and he
 was honest to say that the audio he's got has some noise
 background and was recorded by someone with a microphone,
 but is listenable. Interested to know whether this is from
 Peel's first radio broadcast or later programmes. Any
