1983 is my favourite, though the whole 1980-1984 period does it for me as that's when I really started to listen to the show in earnest and when various "scenes" and sounds seemed to mean so much to me. But I can find something to love no matter the era, such as the trance/dance/techno/tribal 12"-ers in 1992, the Drum and Bass that seemed to peak in 1995 on his show.
