When you come back to “work” I think there is still a bit of 23rd November 1978 on DB040 to share, tracks 2 to 5, which must have been copied there prior to degaussing from [[DB033]].

I think that wraps it up. There is one more compilation tape (DB040) to rip, but there are only two shows on that tape (20-11-78 and 26-12-78) so it should be less complicated to work out . Then it's no more erased tapes/compilations after that - and should be plain sailing!

Just trying to catch up on the wiki, but have got a bit stuck at 31st October 1978, the bits recorded onto DB030. Although the file begins with Can, the following tracks are not from this show according to the existing tracklisting. I think the ticks didn’t necessarily correspond to the dubbed version of the tape, but that the taper had them somewhere in his collection. I’ll try and work out what’s going on, I think it will be easier to create the tape pages and work from there.

This is what he taped over the Teenage Kicks section with - he compiled his favourite tracks from this show - and then erased the rest of that tape Original tracklisting was here (it also included the end of the 18 Sept 78 show). Some of his other favourite tracks from this show are compiled on Tape020 when I get there. Sessions from Prag Vec and Whitecats. It's a previously unshared show, so a shame that it was edited down like this.

Only one session - from Radio Stars, a notable show for the second play of Teenage Kicks. Peel recounts being called by one of the band to say thanks for the initial play, and goes on to add that he has already heard of record company interest for them. "A really excellent record it is too"

This one willl be fascinating for me - I remember listening to it in the comfort of the parental home, three weeks before moving to a strange new town (Bristol) to be a student - I must have been impressed by the Gruppo Sportivo session because on my first night off the leash I walked two miles across the outskirts of town, map in hand, to see them play at what was then Bristol Polytechnic.
Soon after that, like so many bands, they disappeared entirely, presumably back to Holland, but I still dig out their single 'rock'n'roll' occasionally.

It turns out that the original taper erased his first attempts at Tape DB003 and Tape DB009 and dubbed his favourite bits to Tape DB010.
