British Library Sound And Moving Image

Hi Alan,

British Library sound recordings:

>From past rooting around the British Library site (very frustrating experience), seems like you can go down and listen to Peel shows they have but there's a much more limited access of things online (and this doesn't include Peel shows).

If you want to go down, imagine it would be best to phone up or email them and check out what you'd need to take along and do (ID etc). Anyway, in the case of the mystery track, guess in theory you or someone else could go down and check out what the actual song was from the recording they have. If you ever do this, please let us know the results.

Incidentally, if anyone ever does go down there to listen to otherwise unavailable shows, please make notes so we can add tracklistings to the wiki. There are more Peel shows if you search the catalogue, but relatively few have online tracklistings (just the 1988 ones I made wiki pages for, as far as I know).

WhatLinksHere on the wiki:

On the wiki search front, the WhatLinksHere thing once you get to the page (from the menu or from the Supersearch page link):

http://peel.wikia.com/wiki/Special:WhatLinksHere

Fill in the name of the artist, band, whatever you're searching - for example, Colorblind James Experience. The following comes up as results for that search:

http://peel.wikia.com/index.php?title=Special%3AWhatLinksHere&target=Colorblind+James+Experience&namespace=

This is a list of shows and other pages with "empty" red links to a Colorblind Experience page (which we don't have). It is, though, easy to use the results to quickly check what shows we know they were on and get further info from the individual pages.

Cheers,

Steve
