Hi folks
Many thanks to Mark for a copious supply of rips over the past week,
which have steadily filtered through to the Wiki (mainly due to slow
upload speeds on the Mooo). Direct links to shows other than Peel's can
now be found on the tape pages. I give you a digest of all our recent
activity: apologies if some of this is repeat information.
L066 <http://peel.wikia.com/wiki/L066> starts with the last few
minutes of Kershaw 1992-03-28 and then moves on to the first 40 minutes
of 28 March 1992 <http://peel.wikia.com/wiki/28_March_1992> (previously
shared). Side B then has the first 36 minutes of 03 April 1992
<http://peel.wikia.com/wiki/03_April_1992> (as previously notified).
L073 has two non-contiguous segments of 27 November 1992
<http://peel.wikia.com/wiki/27_November_1992> from the beginning and
middle, and this show is now complete (if anybody feels like making a
composite version?).
L275 <http://peel.wikia.com/wiki/L275> is an interesting collage of
three shows: a section around three-quarters of the way through 26
September 1992 <http://peel.wikia.com/wiki/26_September_1992>
(previously shared), a short section giving the end of 02 October 1992
<http://peel.wikia.com/wiki/02_October_1992> and part of 03 October
1992 <http://peel.wikia.com/wiki/03_October_1992> which has yet to find
its place in the track listing.
L276 <http://peel.wikia.com/wiki/L276> contains 45 minutes out of a
one-hour Kershaw show with Tarik Sammy in session and a previously
shared section of 25 April 1992
<http://peel.wikia.com/wiki/25_April_1992> .
L277 <http://peel.wikia.com/wiki/L277> has two separate parts of 12
December 1992 <http://peel.wikia.com/wiki/L277> which unfortunately
ended up on the same file, and concludes with an already available part
of 24 April 1993 <http://peel.wikia.com/wiki/L277> .
L279 <http://peel.wikia.com/wiki/L279> contains nothing new: the end of
18 December 1992 <http://peel.wikia.com/wiki/18_December_1992> and
two-thirds of the way through 19 December 1992
<http://peel.wikia.com/wiki/18_December_1992> .
L281 <http://peel.wikia.com/wiki/L281> has two sections of 14 March
1992 <http://peel.wikia.com/wiki/14_March_1992> , already shared in
full by Ken but now no longer online due to the demise of Megaupload:
again, a candidate for joint tenancy.
L283 <http://peel.wikia.com/wiki/L283> yields part of 19 January 1992
<http://peel.wikia.com/wiki/19_January_1992> , the very beginning of
which is new but then overlaps with a previous share. Happily, the
section of 08 March 1992 <http://peel.wikia.com/wiki/08_March_1992> is
not only brand new but slots in between others to complete the show, so
can be joined together (Bill, are you listening, please?)
Finally, L286 <http://peel.wikia.com/wiki/L286> will give joy to some:
the only part so far available of 01 May 1993
<http://peel.wikia.com/wiki/01_May_1993> (end of show) a short section
of Out On Blue Six and a longer recording of Mixing It (the latter two
undated).
To conclude, a jewel in the crown: 07 April 1998
<http://peel.wikia.com/wiki/07_April_1998> (Yummy Fur and Six.By Seven
live) which is almost complete (the first three tracks and the very last
one are missing). This was mentioned on page 330 of Ken.
Happy trails to you all.
Steve (TK)
