mention that he is posthumously charged with sexual abuse of young girls
and boys using his position of fame and his eccentricity as an effective
cover for destroying young lives.
In fact, an unknown contributor has already tried to add a comment along
the lines of 'Like Peel, Savile had an unhealthy interest in underage
girls,' which another use quite rightly deleted. I have protected the
page due to the sensitive nature of this material. Whether these
allegations are true or not, I don't think they have any place in what
is supposed to be a database containing information related solely to
Peel himself, and I feel drawing attention to extraneous matters will
not do our cause any good, since the Daily M**l is conducting a one-rag
campaign to tar him with the same brush.
I would be interested to hear other members' comments on this, and
whether there should be any mention (couched in objective language) of
the situation.
