Thanks Stuart,
That reminded me of a couple of SFX tapes I have from 1982
Much more mainstream SFX was, but I don't think I ever saw a cassette fanzine.
Anyway, I found a link to the SFX magazines
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SFX_Cassette_Magazine
Tapes 14 and 16 are all I have.
14 May 29 - June 10, 1982 Altered Images, Echo & The Bunnymen, Bart, Queen, Kid Creole, John Hiatt, Michael Palin, Saxon, Paula Yates, Duran Duran & more.
16 June 26 - July 8, 1982 Peter Gabriel, Ry Cooder, Courgettes, Why Not, Stones, Bobby Womack, Nina Hagen, Joan Jett, Lindsay Anderson, Scritti, Yello & more.
That also reminds me, I'll have to get scanning my "Breakout" paper fanzines from Liverpool in the early 1980's
