Subject: [peel] End of the Four Day Week

Hello, I'm new here so "please be gentle" ....

I've just uploaded to Fileserve a tape I found in my crate of the
27th Sept 1984 Peel show, the last Thursday night show before he went
to the "three day week". I'm not sure of the protocol here, but I
couldn't find it on the Peel wiki, so I am assuming it is not yet
readily available anywhere. Anyway, for your information it should be
downloadable from the following link - if there are any problems,
please let me know & I'll try putting it somewhere else:

http://www.fileserve.com/file/5XMfCPN

It's a complete 2-hour show (138MB) recorded from FM, with
uninterrupted repeat sessions from The Mighty Wah, The Cocteau Twins
and The Smiths. He looks forward to the replacement Thursday night
show - "Into the Music" with Tommy Vance - with an angelic sarcasm.

I haven't added this to the Wiki, partly (as mentioned above) because
I don't really know the protocol in this Peelian world, partly
because I always get Wiki entries wrong, and partly .... no time ...
but if anyone else fancies adding it .... ??? :-)

Unfortunately, I don't have any more complete shows that aren't
already banked, but I do have 45 minutes of a 1978 show (possibly 3rd
April - Whitecats and Ivor Cutler in session) which I will try to put
up before too long.

All the best, Darren G
