Undertones in Concert

I stand corrected re the early 70's shows but when I first started listening to "In Concert", around 77, there was no chat between every song. Yeah, it does break the flow a bit, esp. if it's someone not as cool as JP ! In fact I reckon a lot of the new-wave bands would not have tolerated the interruptions - the Stranglers famously walked out on a broadcast gig in 77-ish after just 2 or 3 numbers (because non-students had been barred).

Normally with the BBC "In Concert" show, the dj just gave an intro and outro. One of the Steeleye songs is a shanty that proclaims Scousers to be "thick" - John of course didn't like that, and said so ...
