Fellow Peelites
Many thanks to Bill for the poll and the results (but is that the end of
25 Years Of Rock??)Since 65% of you voted in favour of BFBS etc.:
1) 03 January 2000 (BFBS)
<http://peel.wikia.com/wiki/03_January_2000_(BFBS)> I now have all of
Carsten's BFBS recordings, and 2000 is the final full year of Peel's
shows on that station. Incomplete, but in excellent sound.
2) Peel 018 (BFBS) <http://peel.wikia.com/wiki/Peel_018_(BFBS)> The
sound quality seems rather better on this file than the others so far,
see if you agree. From 1985.
3) 04 December 1992 <http://peel.wikia.com/wiki/04_December_1992> Since
I've already made Isector's recording of the full show available, I
don't know if this rip by Mark from the SL Tapes adds anything, but you
never know. Included for the sake of completeness.
4) 28 April 1995 <http://peel.wikia.com/wiki/28_April_1995> Most of you
will doubtless have this on the four-file monster I ripped from Colin's
500 Box, but it's been re-edited into one file, and, striving for
tidiness, I excised two incomplete news reports from the first Newsbeat,
leaving only one item about Eric Cantona: hopefully too many tears won't
be shed about that. Two reasons why I re-upped this: firstly, the
original rip was hosted on 30242, which now sleeps with the angels, and
secondly, a member of one of the bands played by Peel on the show
wanted a copy.
As I have a month off school, more to come.
Best wishesSteve (TK)
