400 Box (1 more)

Not to forget that Numan turned up on the 25 years of the Festive Fifty special on 19 Dec 2000 to play Are Friends Electric:

This then led to a full live session at Maida Vale early the following year:

The F50 special one track appearance was over 21 years since Numan's previous (full) session, in 1979. Ken in The Peel Sessions (p. 282) makes this the third longest gap between sessions, lagging only behind the Incredible String Band (27 years) and Faust (26 years).

(Seems like a typo and the Undertones might be a bit higher up the list, Ken).

But it was quite an extensive field Early Human League, Wire, Red Crayola, Heaven 17, late Human League, the Fire Engines and Young Marble Giants. Howard Jones may well have featured on peel too ... Depeche Mode definitely did.
