Somehow that collection of tracks did take on a peculiar magic when played
together, with TV's voice in between
(in the same way as Peel's F50, of course).
I'm sure I recorded it one year - (about 1981/2-ish)
when Supper's Ready was about No. 2, Stairway No. 1...
and the list included Rush's 2112 as well as Xanadu,
and Child in Time by Deep Purple...
tapes long lost I'm afraid (and lousy quality to start with) -
but I must have listened to them over and over again for hours -
until I finally "got" 2112.
I had forgotten all about 'Stargazer'..!
