[peel] Re: Primevals 1986

I'm just uploading the concert tapes I have, from bands who have featured on
Peel shows. Only some of these were actually broadcast on the Peel show
itself, others will have been special In Concert type programmes from
festivals, one-off events and even some from non-BBC stations. 

 

I no longer have the source of this concert, but as they were a Scottish
band it may well have been Radio Clyde

Was Peel really doing a lot of 30-minute live sets in those days from fairly
obscure bands, or did The Primevals just get lucky? I don' remember this
set.

 

Though admittedly 1986 was a bit of a wilderness year for me music-wiseas it
was my last year at college - though The Primevals actually played Paisley
Tech a couple of years before, an unusual occurrence in a Union that
literally *never* saw touring bands (boyfrend of college coursemate managed
the support band, Losers' Club).
