During the course of my recent 400 box ripping, I've raised an eyebrow upon hearing extracts from Pink Floyd's "The Wall" played in Nov / Dec 1979.

****Peel loved "Animals". I remember reading his column in Sounds in '77 (after Animals had been released) where he was commenting about the rise of Punk, and he said that 'older' artists who still had something to say were still valid, and he named Pink Floyd as an example.
Perhaps he might have changed his mind by the time of 'The Final Cut' though ;-)
