I use Stuffit expander on a Mac & am getting exactly the same problem.

<< there seems to be even fewer John Peel Day style celebrations planned
this year than last. Apart from Dandelion Radio and a couple of other events
dotted around, it's very very quiet. only to be expected I spose, but a huge
shame nonetheless. I'm still not 100% sure when the agreed 'date' is mind,
3rd Thursday in October maybe?>>

As far as I know, the date this year is Saturday 10th October - There are
events I know of in Manchester and at least two in London.

The one I am involved with is the one at Bloomsbury Lanes, London - loads
of bands including Tender Trap, Beatnik Filmstars, Allo Darlin, Airport Girl,
MJ Hibbett - loads of DJs including David Gedge, Darren Hayman (dub reggae
set!), oh and myself too!

Here's the link: http://www.wegottickets.com/event/59270

There's also a Facebook page:

On Dandelion Radio - www.dandelionradio.com - October is "Peel Legends"
month - we have new sessions from Peel veterans such as Magoo, Tarwater,
Beatnik Filmstars, Fun-Da-Mental, Eat Static,Trembling Blue Stars, The Woodentops,
Decoration, Calvin Party, I Ludicrous, etc etc, as well as exclusive tracks
from Solex, The Orchids, Caroline Martin etc etc. On my show every other
track will be a "Peel Favourite" - some of the less obvious tracks that Peel
and only Peel used to play.

Of course what Peelie would have wanted was lots of new music, so we do not
neglect that - there are loads of new tracks and artists throughout the
schedule, as well as sessions from new bands such as Clutter, Atomizer, and
Wolfram Wire.

Cheers!
