One of his first sessions after joining BBC was The Incredible String Band, a group who he had championed on The Perfumed Garden. They did 11 sessions up to their demise in 1974 then did another in 2000 when they briefly reformed.
Also worth considering are Stone The Crows, Writing On The Wall, Davey Graham, JSD Band (went to school with some of them), Gerry Rafferty, Rab Noakes, Stealers Wheel, Dick Gaughan, Rezillos/Revillos, Fire Engines, the sadly no longer with us Aerogramme, The Twilight Sad and The Phantom Band.

Well the last two would have got sessions if was still with us!
