Song Sung Blue versions?

Have to admit I am not enough of an Altered Images fan to answer this one posed to me by someone: which version(s) of the band's cover of SONG SUNG BLUE did Peel sing backing vocals on? I always thought it was just the commercial album/ B side version he was on. But did he also join them on the session version recorded in their last Peel Session, in September 1981? I thought not, but maybe you know better...
