Those Top Gear extracts...

Hi Ken,
Glad you liked the Top Gear extracts,in answer to your queries about 
them,i got the tapes with an Akai 4000DS reel to reel tape deck that 
was advertised recently on my local Gumtree site,for the huge sum of 
£10.00,bargain,i bought them hoping there would be some old Pick of the 
Pops shows on the tapes,i collect all kinds of radio shows not just 
Peel ones.The guy who sold me the tapes had been recording stuff from 
the early 60's to the early 80's,mostly from the radio but with the DJ 
links edited out,shame ! The clip from the 30/6/68 is on a 5 inch spool 
that is not quite full and only runs for about 30 minutes,the other 2 
clips are on tapes where the rest of the links are edited out so i only 
recorded the bits where the links were intact,i will at some point go 
through the tapes again to see if i missed any session tracks.There are 
some Pick of the Pops clips on the tapes but nearly all have the links 
edited.I am still going through tapes and today found an Andromeda 
session track called "Return To Sanity" and a couple of Pretty Things 
session tracks,plus some by Family.I will let you know more when i have 
been through the rest of the tapes.
