Peel lives!

Hi all,

Just joined up. A little while ago I stumbled upon a few old, sadly
pause-button pushed recordings of Peel from the early 90's, and they
bought back such amazing memories. I was pretty shocked when Peel
died but I don't think I really realised the enormity of it until now.

Having done a search, I discovered the blogs like Perfumed Garden and
JP.net, and the Wikia which brings me here. I've downloaded a few
shows the last few days and I just wanted to say a huge thanks to all
those that are on here for the work they are doing ripping old
recordings - I know it takes immense amounts of time (having ripped
most of my personal early 90's London jungle pirate radio collection
and distributed it around the net for everyone to share).

1989-1994 was my predominant Peel listening - and I'm sure I must
have some more complete tapes somewhere so will start looking. For
the timebeing, I'm hoping to get involved in the discussions here,
perhaps try and piece together tracklistings for shows, and well, if
ever more volunteers were needed to rip shows then anything 91-94
stuff I'd be more than happy to...

Cheers again for the work you're doing :)

Steph
