well, i use get_iplayer and ended up with a 128kbps mp3 for sunday's and a 
dump of the raw ra stream for mondays (get_iplayer uses the ipod download 
backdoor if it can - better than realtime downloads. if that fails it'll 
record (and optionally transcode) the ra stream directly)
