The Flying Cream Shots?

Hi Eddie

That rang a bell straight away, and sure enough, in Ken's book, p. 285, just after the Flying Pickets:
'At this point, regular Peel listeners might expect to find a session by the Flying Creamshots. Mysteriously, I can find no trace of one, although Billy Bragg once reported to Peel he'd just missed them in San Francisco.'
John was fond of making up band names, usually to make a point about not playing band's demos or tapes. Maybe? Hope this helps.

Best wishes
Steve [TK]

And (carefully) Googling the supposed band name just now only turned up a handful of pages, all of which seemed to have some relevance to Peel. It turns out that Flying Cream Shots was one of several provisional titles for the (semi-)autobiography 20+ years later.
