Hi Mic,
Good to have you on board both here and at the Wiki. Running a bit short of time, so just
some general points on the Wiki, as I see it:
1. Adam ("of this parish" and Fades In Slowly) set it up earlier this year, and after only a few
months it's still evolving and expanding. At the moment, it's very much at the stage of
setting out a basic structure. Obviously there are still all kinds of gaps, including on the
Festive Fifties, so your additions on that front seem really useful to me. Please carry on
with as many of the other years as you're happy with.
2. On the editing, I think the idea is to keep as much of existing contributions as possible,
as you said, while correcting mistakes and keeping within a fairly standard format for new
tracklistings, etc. Fine to stick basically with info (do myself). For other stuff, we can see
what people come up with. I'd like to concentrate on getting as much basic info up as
possible initially, so it's useful.
3. One thing to stress is that the Wiki is definitely intended as a community resource and
as such all contributions are most welcome. Many thanks to all those who have already
joined in, especially those also doing 400 Box ripping. If people want to add tracklistings,
info, corrections, just go ahead, Things can always be adjusted as we go along.
There are also a couple of (little used) forums if you want to discuss Wiki stuff. Maybe we
could discuss the ins and outs of the F50s, torrents, etc, over there, Mic.
Right, I'm off to the pub!
Cheers,
Steve W
