LOW first played by Peel when?

thanks. Their one-off Christmas show (well 2 her European gigs only) at Oran Mor in 
Glasgow a week ago tonight was wonderful, with an especially surprising, faithful version 
of Lennon and Yoko's christmas song added in, with full harmonies. Big reverential crowd 
stood in near silence, a very unusual occurrence at a glasgow gig. Band joined on stage by 
their 3-piece support band and friends Ida for the christmas set. The encore was Last 
snowstorm of the year. New christmas single is quite good, but the big seller on the table 
at the back was the original christmas mini lp, from which they played every track, and the 
twangy (rather than distorted) live version of little drummer boy was especially affecting, I 
found. At the start, Alan Sparhawk dedicated the show to John Peel, to whom, as far as the 
UK was concerend, they felt they owed everything, and always remembered him whenever 
they come back,
