Rocker's tip - get a dictaphone! They're now available as tiny digital things 
& my entire life goes onto one - I audition all the demo CDs I get sent for 
my show at www.dandelionradio.com while driving, then plug it straight into a 
USB port on my computer.

My friends accept this as a further pleasing eccentricity - they mutter 
things like "he's getting worse!", and many of them have taken advantage of the 
opportunity to make the joke that goes "Can I use your dictaphone?"

Not yet tested whether the traffic cops will see the distinction between it 
and a mobile phone, however!
