Joy Division Documentary

Went to see the Jon Savage Joy Division documentary at the cinema last night. Nicely done, although I'm starting to feel like they can't keep telling the same story over and over. The main difference with this doc was the first time Annik has been interviewed on screen about her relationship with Ian Curtis.

However - by FAR the best bit for me was when they played the clip of Peel playing Atompshere from the Sordide Sentimental french 7" at the wrong speed! As usual he scalded himself and then accused the French of "sending us apples that taste of cardboard and records that play at the wrong speed" - priceless!
