Wow.
 
Is it worth contacting the seller privately and making a "group" offer for  
these? If enough of us chipped in a reasonable amount (say 20 quid each?) he  
could end up with several hundred pounds for his charity - plus the tapes would 
 be in a safe place, where they could be digitised/shared etc...
 
What does everyone think?
