 Having been on several mailing lists that 'evolved'
into web based forums ( 'fora' ?), I can tell you this
is a contentious issue, and best either left alone
('if it aint broke...') or at least treated with some
sensitivity.  
 This is an area where you'll never please all of the
people all of the time, so it's best to go with a
solution that offers as many options as possible
 I actually prefer mailing lists, but then I thought
the 90's wasn't such a bad decade either,
