Comes as no surprise really as this is what the Beeb
have always done, even to Peely himself, who was
shifted ever further into the distance in spite of -
or perhaps because of - his popularity.
 I am gutted about One World, though - that really was
a great show, giving new labels & artists a chance to
do their stuff for 2 solid hours without any inane
chatter in between (apart from those dreadful 'Global
tranmission'... idents, thrown in at random to piss
off the tapers).
 I really can't think of a reason to turn the dial to
Radio 1 any more...
