Jim WAS playing a gig Keep It Peel day. I only knew
about it on the day when I read about it in the Metro.
I managed to see him a couple of years ago when he did
a solo gig, supported by John Moore and his sister's
band Sister Vanilla, who were both great.
Now this compilation, what information have you got on
that? I've managed to find out that Jim & William are
releasing a spilt single with there sister Linda.
Creation Records news page this month says:
"Jim Reid's 'Song For A Secret' is backed with Sister
Vanilla's 'Can't Stop The Rock', which was written and
produced by William Reid and the brothers' younger
sibling, Linda . The single is released by Transistor
Records on October 17."

I've only found this when I checked the J&MC forum
Some Candy Talking, which who also announced:
"Jim WILL BE playing the Exeter gig on the 29th Oct
AND the Oxford gig on the 10th Nov.
He never agreed to play any other venues."
The 'great' thing for me is I'm down in Devon next
weekend, but that evening I've got a friend's birthday
meal. I can't win!

only of marginal interest perhaps, but the DID show is
transcribed at

what? Was this a Peel Day show? I heard nothing of
this, though I
know the Reids have got together on a new compilation
(The Cure For
Sickness). Which is also tangential, but I saw little
mention here of
Peel Day shows anyone had attended. What did everyone
else do? I was
at one of the 4 in Edinburgh, notable for the
reformation of TV21, or
perhaps for the non-reformation of Josef K.
