Hi Alan,

The 31 tapes are mainly just tracks from his shows I recorded through
the 90s. I never (sadly) kept whole shows, the aim was just to
archive my favourite tracks he played, along with an occasional pearl
of wisdom or priceless comment from the man himself.

The process of transferring these best of tapes to MP3s led me to
produce a "best of the best" musically, whilst I made sure I
digitised all of his comments of course.

Yep, those are the set of daytime shows I have. That Chris Issac bit
is one of the highlights sure enough! Some other favourite bits:
"I like the bit where they stop for a moment in the middle of that" -
Aeorsmith's "Living On The Edge"
"I don't know, they, they really speak to me you know, and I expect
they do to you too"- Go West's "Still In Love"
He also segued that live clip of Mark E Smith saying "That usually
clears the halls-ah" after a Whitney Houston slush-fest.
We'll surely never again hear such a glorious clash of listeners vs
DJ, which is sad.

Cheers,

Richard
