The Festive Fifty by Mark Whitby has finally arrived.
I've only had a quick look as it's going t be one of my birthday presents in
August.
>From what I've seen of it, it is an ideal complement to Ken Garner's "In
Session Tonight".
On the surface, it is written by a true Peel "Nut". His opening line in the
introduction.
"When I reached the age of around 14, I realised that the best thing about
Christmas was, after all, a slightly portly bloke with a beard.. More
precisely, it was a chart compiled from votes sent in by listeners of that
blokes show - an institution known as the Festive Fifty."

The last 10 of these 217 pages is dedicated to all the characters featured
in FF tracks.
Much better than those phoney biographies.
Can't wait for my birthday.
