John Walters stood in for Peel ?

I've got a tape with Peel's long-term partner / producer
John Walters introducing sessions by Be Bop Deluxe and
Can (both from 1975 ). Any idea when / what show this was ?
Was Walters standing in for Peel or did he have his own
show ? A clue could be that at the end of the tape there
is a Bill Nelson session intro'd by Peel himself from June 1981.
The middle of the tape has a few Thin Lizzy songs which presumably
are also Peel recording.
