To be fair, John played more than just "Aminal Hop". For example, after falling in love with "Aminal Hop" I fell DEEPLY in love with Sarah (musically, of course) when I first heard John play "Om-Pa-Cha-Pap-Cha-Pap" on air.

You're right about the album. Here's what my friend Mark says about her album (he puts it better than I could) ...

"... I received my copy of [Are You Sitting Comfortably?] a few days ago, and I am so amazed by her stuff. I will write to her next and let her know how much I enjoyed her music. Also, I would like to run a free ad in the next Researcher [the magazine he edits] for her album ..."

Visit www.listenwithsarah.org and order your copy if you haven't already!!! You KNOW you want to!!! :-) And 14 great tracks, including a Festive 50 entry(!), for only 8 INCLUDING P&P!!!

True, true. Her 'Are You Sitting Comfortably' album has more depth than the cat-sampling 'Animal Hop' that Peely played suggested. Nice stuff.

Indeed, Andrew. But it would be a great shame if people went to that MP3 directly, thereby passing and not noticing Sarah's great website at www.listenwithsarah.org (would it not?)!

Talking of Listen With Sarah, she has a new track at her website that I'm sure Peely would have played, as it features him (and some profuse swearing). Sarah had started it before his death, but I'm positive this would have got a play: http://freespace.virgin.net/sarah.peter.nelson/Listen_With_Sarah_Cuntry_Music_Peeled.mp3 - it's entitled DUELLING DJs - PEEL vs HARRIS (Cuntry Music), and features vocals by John Peel, Bob Harris, Peter Cook & Dudley Moore. pointless, but fun.
