Similar things have happened to me too. One that springs to mind is First Offence. They were a white hip-hop bunch from Manchester from around the very early 90s. They released a couple of 12" singles I think, did one Peel session, and recorded an LP that was never released (arguments about copyright clearance, I think). Anyway, I mentioned them on here and not only did someone provide me with an electronic copy of their Peel session (which I've now lost due to a hard disk failure and very lax personal backup methods!) but someone also sent me a copy of the LP they never released!
What a great bunch of people you lot are! :-)

Peelier than that, being a fan of the highly obscure
duo Sophie and Peter Johnston from the late 80s who
made precisely one album and vanished I asked here in
this forum if anyone by any chance had their Peel
sessions and of course they had... (many thanks!)
Best regards,
Neil
