One of the great mysteries is why Peel never "got" Felt.
 
Lawrence is one of the truly great English pop genius/nutters,  and he's 
ploughed the most singular of furrows - a Perfect artist for  Peel to champion, 
you'd think... yet they never even got a Peel session,  and apart from Primitive 
Painters in the F50, I can't remember him playing  anything by them.
 
Often thought it was Maurice Deebank's classical-styled guitar that put him  
off.
 
We shall never know!
