I'm sure some of us with membership wouldn't mind inviting people if we 
knew they'd honour Oink's strict rules and regs (so in that case you'd 
have broadband and know what a torrent and a ratio was and didn't mind 
keeping their ratios >1).  Their strictness is what makes Oink's tracker 
work well so it's a bit difficult to identify new members that you've 
never met before.  Incidentally there was a recent poll where the 
majority of members decided favourably for a section devoted to unsigned 
artists to publicise their work:
