Having listened to Top Gear when it used to be on on a Saturday 
afternoon (in the days when that was the only time football games were 
scheduled), I can't ever remember John talking about the scores or 
results during his show.  Maybe my memory has failed me but it seems his 
interest in football grew in recent years.

On a related note, Liverpool's excellent result tonight means they are 
part way to being No 1 on May 25th.  How many listers have ordered their 
copy of the Amsterdam record to help complete the double?
