i agree, the festive 50 this year was a huge disappointment. however 
i still feel that if youre the kind of person who haven't listened to 
peel all year at all and have just tuned into the festive 50 cos of 
its reputation - i know several people who do that - at least there 
were still enough decent records not to be a complete waste.

On another note, anyone else notice that for 32, i think, john 
announced that the track was 'mannequin hand trapdoor reminder' from 
the boom bip album, but 'roads must roll' was the track played with 
no comments or anything. does anyone know out of interest which was 
the correct on?, tracklisting doesnt seem to be on the radio 1 site 
that i can find yet? a bit of a stupid point, yes, but perhaps john 
was as bored as i was by then.
