Well if that's your main concern you can use a service like www.mail-x-change.com it's 
completely spamproof. www.firewallx.com goes further and protects you from viruses 
and a lot of trojans as well.

I'm sure that alone won't make you change your mind and I apologise for going off topic, 
but I really like Usenet. It has one massive advantage over other systems: it isn't 
dependent on the good will of any one provider.
