Away from the numbers?

Last year I had _at least_ one of my choices get in the F50:  Cinerama's
"manhattan" ...
And one of the all-time selections that I _meant_ to vote for, "going
underground" by the Jam, got in; falling, I believe, shockily close to the
bottom 40.
Imo, it is a travesty that a song like that can be so much lower than such
fodder as "smells like teen spirit."
I guess I better duck now for a potential backlash from ardent Nirvana
fans; but hey, I gotta write what I feel! ;-)
