well i must say that i have warmed to Hefner a bit as their initial stuff
wasn't too much to my liking. as for being distinctive well i think the
singer, Darren's voice is very much what Hefner are all about and i can pick
them out simply based on his singing/style.
as for Gorky's i feel they have become bland and probably the most damning
thing about them is that they have become inoffensive ...it's pleasant but
doesn't make you feel enthusiastic.
to add further fuel to the discussion the Fall tracks are starting to come
out and JP is raving over them (as he usually does) although i haven't yet
heard anything which makes me feel excited about getting the album.
