I'm new to this list, so hello everyone...

My predictions for the Top 10 next week are:
Anarchy in the UK, Love Will tear Us Apart, Atmosphere, Blue Monday, Teenage
Kicks, Smells Like Teen Spirit, White Man in Hammersmith Palais, Eat yself
Fitter, Song 2 and There is a Light that Never Goes Out...

If I'm even 70-80% correct, I think that supports JP's assertion that the
chart is immensely conservative and predictable. Some time ago, back in the
mid 80s when the F50 really was dull, it was suggested - reasonably seriously
I think - that the Top 50 simply be read out while Nos 51-100 actually got
played. It would certainly be interesting to know what the next batch of
tracks in this chart were as, for me, Nos 50-41 (Nick Drake, Velvet
Underground, Culture etc) were the most interesting. And how about giving a
selection of those that didn't quite make it a spin?

Did anyone else vote for 'Good to Be the King' by the Janitors? I thought not.

BTW I don't think giving people 10 votes instead of 3 would make any
difference - there are people (you know who you are) who would simply use it
as an opportunity to vote for all 10 tracks off Unknown Pleasures instead of
their favourite 3

Cheers
Candy
